aaaaaaaaand we’re back!

Help us welcome our new City of Torrance Volunteer Blog into the world by favoriting this page and sharing our link with others!   The old blog has served as well, but we’re starting afresh.  We’re going out with the old and in with the new!

We’ll be blogging a few times a week on events past and present and on other volunteer related news.  Our hope is to give insight on how the Volunteer Program continues to flourish our community and what the City of Torrance has to offer.

And where do you come in, you ask?  Ah, yes.  You, my friend, are doing exactly what we had hoped and that’s where you come in.  You’ve boldly clicked our link and read our first ever blog entry.  We shall be your eyes and you shall be our ears!  May our relationship continue on from this moment forward!

Coming up next, we’ll be touching on a few events in April celebrating Earth Day.  As we sign off for now, we leave you with this quote by Helen Dyer, Volunteer Coordinator of Teller County, CO Division of Parks, Colorado, USA:

Volunteerism is the voice of the people put into action. These actions shape and mold the present into a future of which we can all be proud.
May that inspire you.
